Acclaro served as Economic and Reliability Engineering Advisor for the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) project in Hawaii—one of the world’s largest and most advanced astronomical observatories. Worked with a multinational team from five countries, providing strategic guidance to support cost-effective design, long-term reliability, and sustainable operations for this landmark scientific initiative.
Acclaro designed and implemented a gas recovery system in the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador to capture fugitive emissions and flared natural gas from remote oil wells. The recovered gas fueled on-site gas turbine generators, delivering 50 megawatts of reliable power to the oil battery. This innovative system reduced greenhouse gas emissions, improved energy efficiency, and minimized environmental impact in one of the world’s most ecologically sensitive regions.
Instrumental in the installation of 900 km of the Rocky Mountain Pipeline Expansion from Edmonton to Burnaby and overseeing installation of 762–914 mm diameter pipeline through some of the world’s most challenging terrain. The project required complex logistics and construction under extreme weather, with strict adherence to safety, environmental standards, and schedule.
