As a Reliability Engineer, you will lead the development and implementation of reliability programs across fixed client assets. This is an exciting opportunity to join our industry leading team in the field of Reliability Engineering. While providing the hands-on support required to launch and sustain reliability initiatives, you will have the opportunity to tackle and resolve a diverse range of interesting and complex equipment and operational problems that will have a direct impact on our client’s business performance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance methodologies to a variety of industrial and commercial capital equipment.
Identify all plausible failure modes and identify optimal maintenance strategies for each mode.
Produce written documentation for detailed maintenance plans.
Facilitate the creation of RCM based FMECA’s using appropriate software and with input from specialist engineers and trades personnel.
Optimize frequencies of maintenance tasks.
Quality control of the maintenance programs during program development.
Develop optimized spare parts strategies.
Other duties which may be assigned, which fall within the nature of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Strong knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Modes/Effect Analysis (FMEA).
Solid understanding and application of Condition Monitoring techniques.
Demonstrated use of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify root cause and develop solutions.
Knowledge of Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) or Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
Hands-on experience with typical equipment failure, operation, and maintenance (preferably in a heavy industrial environment).
Familiarity with CMMS.
Strong sense of leadership and team consensus building.
Ability to multi-task when given multiple competing assignments, as well as having the aptitude to analyze issues, determine priorities, establish a course of action and follow through on tasks to a successful completion.
Detail oriented accuracy in all work and communication.
Demonstrated analytical problem solving acumen.
Strong technical skills; exercise good judgment; be practical and capable of applying common sense, and accountable for individual work.
Ability to interact with both internal and external clients.
Ability to be flexible and respond to changing priorities.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer skills, with high level of proficiency in Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel. .
Experience, Training and Education:
5+ years of plant management and/or plant maintenance experience.
Progressive engineering experience in hydro power, or oil and gas industry.
Previous reliability engineering experience, an asset.
A Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or other relevant engineering discipline) from an accredited university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) with local provincial association.
